Context
When sanitary products are needed unexpectedly, a public place rarely offers a private way to get them. Nobody should have to ask another person for a pad. Scan the QR code, pay, and the machine hands one over.
The problem
Machines spread across many public sites have to report stock and status centrally. Otherwise an empty machine stays unknown until someone mentions it, and a user meets a machine with nothing in it. Refills had to be planned from usage data, not from phone calls.
What we built
We fitted the machines with a VendCore controller and cashless payment, and brought stock and machine status onto one VendCloud dashboard. That is Vend OS, our vending platform: the VendCore controller in the machine and VendCloud software for the fleet. Payment runs through a QPay QR code, and every transaction is recorded.
Where it runs
Machines run at 29+ locations in public restrooms across Ulaanbaatar. Beelog Tech is responsible for the hardware, firmware, central monitoring, and technical support.
What changed
Users get the product when they need it, without asking anyone. The network is run from one screen, and refills are planned from usage data instead of phone calls.
