Context
By the time BEEV started, vending machines were appearing across Ulaanbaatar, but most ran on cash and revealed nothing about themselves until the owner physically visited. The network needed a way to run on data instead of site visits.
The problem
Operators learned about sales, stock, and failures only by visiting each machine — a constant cost in time and logistics. A machine that failed silently lost days of revenue. And traditional machines could not meet customer expectations like QR payment and automatic receipts.
What we built
BEEV runs on Vend OS, our vending platform: VendCore in every machine, VendCloud for the fleet. VendCore sits inside the machine: it drives the motors, reads the drop sensor, watches fridge temperature, and talks to QPay over 4G. VendCloud is where each sale lands as payment · vend · verified drop · stock update · report, with an eBarimt issued automatically on the Pro plan. Refunds, dynamic pricing, and idle-screen advertising sit on top. The kiosk interface runs in 6 languages, reports export to Excel, and an API is open for integration.
Where it runs
The platform was deployed nationally in 2023 and today connects 32 vending machines. Beyond new machines, existing ones join through the Retrofit, MiniVend, and Fridge/Locker kits.
What changed
46,000+ transactions have run on the platform, vending and washing machines together, and operators now manage their fleets without site visits. A 30-second heartbeat, no sales while offline, an automatic refund when nothing dispenses, and double-payment protection defend customer trust. The operator hears about a failure before customers notice it.
